The new Brentford boys in town are here to stay

Brentford leaves Manchester Utd and Chelsea shocked

By Udoka Osodi

Brentford continued their strong start to their first-ever premier campaign, with a six-goal thriller against the magical Liverpool.

It was vintage premier league right from the very start action, as Brentford took an early lead with a sensational goal by Ethan Pinnock. But predictably, Liverpool fought back and the match ended in a 3-3 goal feast.

In the other top match, Bruno Fernandes missed an injury-time penalty as Cristiano Ronaldo watched on as Manchester United lost 1-0 at home to Aston Villa. They have so far lost 8 home games.

Chelsea lost for the first time this season, as Gabriel Jesus scored to seal a 1-0 win for Manchester City.

Thomas Tuchel had come out victorious in the previous three meetings between the two including the all-important champions league final last May which will still be haunting Pep Guardiola.

Is Arsenal set to rise again?

After a disastrous start to the season, Arsenal are beginning to pick up some form, dispatching Spurs quite comfortably in Sunday’s North London derby. After winning their first three games, Spurs have since lost steam. It’s back to the drawing board for Nuno Esperito Santo.

Arsenal has now climbed to the 10th position, while Liverpool remains on top, closely followed by Manchester City and Chelsea.
